Mikey is trying really hard to make the scooter move, but he hasn't been successful yet.

We are still here! It's been a while

First and foremost, my dear friend, Holly Dary, was diagnosed with Leukemia last weekend. Ever since her diagnosis, she has been in the hospital going through chemo. She has a great outlook on kicking this cancer and I highly encourage you to visit her Caring Bridge site. www.caringbridge.org/visit/hollydary Take a few minutes to sign her guestbook and send some more positive vibes her way.

What have we been up to? Swinging! I don't have a picture, but Natalie loves her new used swingset. She spends most of her waking hours at home on her swing and she wore away the grass within a couple of days. Mikey is also lovin the new swing, but he tends to get too relaxed. We have to stop him from falling asleep in it because it is too early to go to bed (he already gets up at 5:30 every morning). Here are a couple of pictures from the past few weeks.

Mikey got his first black eye after attempting to walk down the porch stairs. Ouch! He is becoming my little bruiser. He also recently knocked his 2 front teeth loose and took a good chunk out of his inner lip. Oh yes, he also has 2 chipped teeth. He keeps us on our toes right now because he has one speed--> as fast as he can possibly go! Mikey might be a little like his Daddy in this regard, but only Grammi Pat would know and I am not sure if she is willing to make that comparison (out loud) (-:

We also celebrated my mom's 60th birthday with a big surprise family dinner in LaCrosse. Thanks to all my relatives for making the trip into LaCrosse and keeping the birthday celebration a surprise. Aunt Debbie, if you send me the pictures I will post a few for everyone to see.

Here is a picture of Michael eating his 1st birthday cake. Interestingly enough, he didn't get that messy. He treasured every fistful he put into his mouth and there was no wasting it. Once he had his sugar fill, he proceeded to smash the cake all around. During the celebration, Natalie enjoyed swinging in the basement with Uncle Eric. Josh and I are committed to getting a swingset in our backyard this summer.
Natalie also enjoyed riding her tricycle around with her baby attached to the handlebars.

BIG stuff - Part II

I have lots of BIG stuff to share so I created Part II of the blog. Read the blog below first (-:

Natalie and Josh created a BIG snowfort in our front yard. It has a BIG tunnel and a BIG hideout. It is super, super cool. Nice work Natalie and Josh!

Michael was admiring his BIG sister through the window. He wanted more than anything to get through the window and into the action with his sister. He actually started to try and climb up the window to get out.
Now that is one BIG smile!
Natalie is becoming a BIG stamper. She is going to ask for permission to attend Grammie Pat's upcoming Stampin party.

All around BIG stuff

This BIG boy below turned 1 years old on February 11th! Go Mikey! We are celebrating his birthday next weekend, therefore, no messy cake pictures (yet!). He is getting so BIG...he grows every time he falls asleep. He loves playing in the tent of balls.

We had a WIDE load come through our living room the other day...
We had a BIG caboose make his way onto the train table. He was very proud of himself.
The matches are getting BIGGER AND BIGGER at "Wrestle Mania" in Savage, MN.
Natalie made a BIG line in our living room with all her babies. Natalie was the line leader.

Waterpark adventure

Natalie had a fabulous time at the indoor water park this weekend. I had to share a video of her going down a very big slide all by herself. She went countless times and the best part is that she would wave and blow kisses as she was going down the slide. Check it out. I apologize about the words across the screen...I haven't figured out how to change it yet.
