Smile (-:

Here are a few moments that made me smile.....

Natalie and Michael treated Momma and Daddy with a dinner at N & M restaurant (short for Natalie and Michael restaurant). We rated the restaurant 5 stars! The service was unbelievable, the food was great, and the atmosphere was perfect. I cannot wait for another night at N&M (thanks Mom)!!
How can you resist this smile? Just stop what you are doing and play....
We enjoyed the morning at Minnehaha Falls. Just look at that pose...
Natalie and Michael love riding their scooters everywhere. They are perfect for areas when the bikes are not appropriate (smile).
Making Easter eggs was good fun.
We caught our first frogs of the season. Michael couldn't contain himself!
Just look at the joy in catching frogs!!
Smile!

March Madness

Here are the Final Four highlights of March for the Wiffler family. It has been a month of Madness! First and foremost, Natalie and Michael continue to grow and get even cuter. In this picture, Natalie is helping her Grandpa vacuum out his car. She is such a good helper and she is always looking for ways to contribute. She makes me so proud !

I think Michael is gaining a pound every night. After a recent sickness with strep throat, he is eating us out of house and home and he gets cuter every day. The other night we were laying in bed and I asked him whether he thought Dee-Dee (his baby doll) was beautiful. His response was, "Dee-Dee is beautiful....(pause)....Momma, you are beautiful too." My heart melted and Josh couldn't stop laughing.
The second highlight of March is getting the gardens ready. Josh filled the gardens with lots of dirt and the kids enjoyed helping with their shovels. Grandpa Jim and Carol visited and they brought more dirt! It was a nice Saturday morning moving more dirt and that afternoon Josh got seeds in the ground (in one of his gardens)! We are excited for it to start growing. You might think that some Madness has gotten into Josh, but he knows what he is doing.
The third highlight of Wiffler family March Madness is riding bikes. Here is my favorite picture of Natalie on her bike.
Michael started riding a 2-wheel bike all by himself! On the first try, he was off and going. A good portion of our weekend was spent sitting at the end of the driveway and watching him go back and forth in the street on his bike.
The last highlight of March Madness is Maple Syrup Fest at the Landscape Arboretum. In this picture, the kids learned how to tap a tree.
We filled our bellies with pancakes and maple syrup. Yummy! These are absolutely the best pancakes ever. Mr. Pancake stopped by our table.

Grandpa, Carol and Josh needed a break after eating all those pancakes (-:

I hope March Madness continues and we have more days of blue skys. Hugs and kisses to those reading!

Hi! Happy March!

We had a great..........no, a fabulous day playing outside and I am excited to think that Spring is right around the corner. It's been a while since I updated the blog...time flies when you are living life (-: Here are some pictures from the important milestones the past 3 months.

Natalie turned five years old on Christmas. I cannot believe it, just 5 years ago Josh and I were living a different life. Natalie is five, going on 15. She is wicked smart, adventurous and unbelievably cute. She helped me design her castle birthday cake.
Natalie adores our newest niece/cousin. She loves helping Auntie Amanda take care of the baby.
Grammi Pat hosted another birthday party for Natalie in January and she outdid herself again on the Rice Krispie cake. Check out the super cute Barbie cake....
On Superbowl Sunday, Josh created individual meatloaves in the shape of a monkey, lion, butterfly, and other animals. As a result, our party was a hit!
Michael turned 3 on February 11th. I cannot believe my boy is already three. I love the picture below because Michael is trying really hard to show three fingers, but he ended up showing 2 fingers on one hand and 4 fingers on the other. If you ask him how old he is, there is a high likelihood that he will tell you that he is five years old (like his sister). If I could summarize Michael in a few words, I would say "all boy." He love trucks, frogs, and crocodiles. He has won over the heart of his mommy!
Michael was sick for a week. I wouldn't consider this a milestone however, during the time he was sick, he spent a lot of time in a tote. It was the cutest thing. Natalie and Grammie Barb would push him around the house and let him rest in the tote wherever they were playing. He took his nap in the tote and he slept a few nights in the tote. It was a hard habit to break.
This is a huge milestone in the Wiffler house. We had an albino squirrel in our bird feeder!! Check it out. In order to bring the squirrel back we've set up multiple feeding stations and we've attempted to lure it onto the porch. We haven't had much luck yet, but I can assure you, we will post something when we do!
As I contemplate Wiffler family milestones, I had to recognize the plumbing milestones in our house. I have replaced two faucets and fixed a couple of leaks. Michael is my faithful helper. When I started to fix a faucet, Michael came down the stairs with his hard hat on and his box full of tools. In the picture below, he is helping me fix the bathroom faucet.
In this picture, Grandpa Jim helped us with the latest leak.
I hope everyone reading this blog is having a fabulous March. Hugs and kisses!
