Grandma Wahlen's birthday

We celebrated Grandma Wahlen's brithday in Coloma (before going to the waterpark).   We had fun grilling out and playing.    It was great to get everyone together.   Grandma had all her grandchildren (8)  and  great-grandchildren (8-1/2) there to help celebrate.

Memorial Day Fun! Waterpark Adventure!

Grandma and Mikey.   Mikey's swimsuit is super, super cute!  Surprisingly, he loved, loved, loved the waterpark.  I was expecting that one of us would have to stay in the room with him however, there was so much eye candy and loud noises that he was in "Mikey utopia."   He didn't know where to look next and he would fight falling asleep.
The waterpark was the biggest hit for Natalie.  It was high energy, 100% excitement all the time.   You couldn't slow her down.   We have videos of her just talking about it... "the red slide, the purple slide, jumping, all by herself, splashing, etc.."   Josh and I were sore after countless trips up and down the slides with her.
Josh and Natalie hanging out.  It was a brief moment and then, Natalie was ready to go again.
AA (Auntie Amanda) and Lizzie hanging out on the lazy river.   Eric, Amanda, Grandma, Josh and I even had a chance to go down the "big kids" slides.   Good fun.
Okay.. this isn't the waterpark, but the raised bed garden has been a lot of fun for Josh and Natalie, therefore, it was worth posting a picture.   They are successfully growing A LOT of vegetables.  Natalie has been a critical part of the operation.

Some cute photos..

Natalie loves George the Monkey.  If you are in the neighborhood around 6pm on most nights, you will see Natalie giving George a walk in the stroller.
Michael's new trick...beating up on the toy lion in his "bye-bye chair."
Oh yes, another new trick...fitting his whole fist in his mouth and occasionally gagging.

Natalie's BFF's and Michael is 12 weeks old.

Look at that face...awhh...A random woman took the liberty of tellling me, "it looks like he hasn't missed a meal."   You're darn right he hasn't!

Grandpa came to visit last weekend.  Natalie just soaked up her one on one time with Grandpa.  I am convinced that Natalie has multiple BFF's, all her grandparents.

Tea time

Natalie hosted a tea party for Grammie. They had a fabulous time!   Natalie was a great hostess and Grammie kept the conversation flowing.

Michael and Natalie's relationship (I had to write about it!)

Natalie and Michael are very cute together.    Natalie is very protective of Michael.  She doesn't let the other kids near "her baby."   She likes to talk with him, but when Michael responds back, Natalie says "Mikey is making funny noises."
In this picture, Natalie got a little too close to Michael.  Poor Mikey.   He has his "personal space" and he starts getting a little jumpy when Natalie (aka "the yellow haired girl") gets too close and moves too fast.  Notice that Natalie shows no remorse for upsetting Michael.    Michael does, however, LOVE watching the "yellow haired girl" from a distance.
Natalie loves to hug Mikey.   Notice that Michael is kinda dazed and confused.
In the morning, Natalie likes to sit next to Michael.   Michael practices all his tricks - squirming and kicking.  Natalie will often complain that Michael is hitting her.   Oh no, is this  a sign of years to come?
